Taktgeber Hafen

A media installation about the history of Hamburg's harbour

In 2012, we produced a media installation for the new permanent exhibition Taktgeber Hafen at the Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte (Museum of the History of Hamburg). The history of the harbour of Hamburg is being visualized on top of a 8 metre long, 3 metre high model of Hamburg, built in 1929. We used to projectors to display several animations on top of the model that highlight varying aspects of the harbour's history. The visitors can choose between the animations by pressing one of the LED buttons in front of the installation. The project is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller.
